My Work › Punch Status
Today’s punches and this week’s hours
On the punch status screen, employees see today’s working state and their clock-in, break, and clock-out records alongside this week’s target hours and what remains. On days without passing a door, they record clock-in, break start and end, and clock-out on the web.
Only the buttons that fit the current state are available, and a different actual time can be entered as long as it has already passed today. Passing a reader that counts for attendance records a punch, and the system evaluates the day each time a record is saved.
The calendar switches between month, weekly timeline, year, and agenda views, with approved leave, work locations, and overtime marked on each date. Opening a past date leads straight to a correction request, and flexible workers request mid-week reward days here too.
Records › Status Calendar
Organization-wide attendance on a calendar
The status calendar shows attendance, leave, and remote and field work across the organization as a monthly calendar, weekly and daily timelines, or a list of records. Choosing an organization applies it to today’s summary, the calendar, and the list alike.
Today’s headcount by attendance state sits at the top, with the people on leave or absent during the period alongside. Each date in the monthly view shows counts by state and by approved plan, such as overtime or business trips, and opens that day’s timeline.
Selecting a name or record opens that day’s punches, the breakdown of working time, and a timeline of every record. For days not yet closed, a correction request can be created on the spot, so a wrong record is fixed as soon as it is noticed.
Schedules & Leave › Schedule Templates
Fixed, shift, and flexible work as templates
Schedule templates define the working patterns a company runs: fixed, shift, flexible, or staggered work. Choosing a type explains how that type is evaluated and shows only the settings it needs.
Fixed templates set working hours and breaks for each weekday, staggered templates set the window for clocking in and the contracted daily hours, and flexible work sets the recognised hours, a weekly target, and optional core time. Grace periods for lateness and early leave, and when to record a clock-out automatically if none exists, are part of the template too.
A flexible-work template can only be saved with the written agreement signed with employee representatives, as a file or a document number. A template takes effect once it is assigned to a scope under policy assignments, and assignments for many people can be imported from a CSV file.
Policies › Policy Assignments
Policies from company to individual
Policy assignments attach statutory profiles, operating policies, schedule templates, accrual policies, and holiday calendars to the whole system, a site, an organization, or a person, each for an effective period. A policy applies to no one until it is assigned here.
When policies of one kind overlap, the nearest scope wins in the order person, organization, site, system, and organizations are searched from the person’s team upwards. Two policies of the same kind for the same target with overlapping periods are refused.
Assignments starting in the future are marked as scheduled, so policy changes can be prepared ahead of time. Changing an assignment leaves days already evaluated untouched, and the policy used is stored with each record, so later changes never rewrite past results.
Evaluation & technology › Attendance evaluation
Records, schedules, and policies combined
- Inputs
- Door events · web punches · approved requests
- Rules
- Schedules · statutory rules · policies
- Precedence
- Person › organization › site › system
Each day is evaluated from door events, web punches, and approved requests, using the schedule, operating policy, and statutory rules that apply to that person. The boundaries of the working day, night hours, and the start of the week follow the time zone of the person’s site.
Each kind of policy is resolved on its own, so one person can combine a schedule assigned to the team, a statutory profile assigned to the company, and a holiday calendar assigned to the site. A new record or approval re-evaluates only the affected day, and closed months are never re-evaluated.
